Job Description

RAM is a project delivery firm specializing in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering and Advisory services across Canada.



We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives on leading others, driving design excellence, and developing strong client relationships. You'll take on a mix of detailed engineering, project delivery, and business development responsibilities while working with a skilled electrical engineering team.



Key Responsibilities



Leadership & Team Development

Oversee and review detailed electrical schematics, layouts, distribution pole design and specifications Mentor engineers and technologists, supporting professional growth and training. Identify staffing needs and support recruitment of key team members. Act as the main point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and sub-consultants. Lead electrical design packages for power distribution, EV charging, and lighting systems across utility, residential, and institutional projects. Ensure compliance with codes, client standards, and safety regulations. Review and stamp deliverables as Professional of Record (POR). Provide cost estimates, respond to RFIs, and support construction teams.

Project Management

Manage scope, schedule, and budget for electrical projects. Chair project meetings and track progress through clear documentation. Build and maintain client relationships to secure repeat work. Lead and contribute to RFP submissions, including technical methodology and cost estimates.

Ideal Candidate Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registered either with Engineers & Geoscientists BC (EGBC), The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) or a professional engineer registered in another jurisdiction and eligible for registration with EGBC or APEGA; 7+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 3 years in utility projects; Previous experience in tools such as ETAP, AutoCAD Electrical, PSCAD, SPIDAcalc, or PSSE is considered an asset; and Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
