To pursue project and client development in the Sept-Iles region, BBA wants to bolster its local multidisciplinary team. Working closely with our offices in Labrador City, Montreal and Mont-Saint-Hilaire, this team is actively involved in developing the Sept-Iles region and in executing various projects in the mining and metals, and energy sectors. BBA's electrical engineering teams stand out among Cote-Nord clients because of their cutting-edge technical expertise. This expertise is combined with an unrivalled commitment and understanding of the issues involved in operating and maintaining industrial power systems.



By joining our team, you'll have the opportunity to assist our industrial clients in the energy and mining markets with their operations and their maintenance or growth projects. In more practical terms, you'll be called upon to perform site surveys and tests on high- and medium-voltage electrical equipment, as well as participate in the commissioning of new equipment and systems. You'll also have the opportunity to help with various stages in project execution. What's more, you'll be responsible for ensuring quality professional services and for maintaining strong client relationships.

Address safety issues during the design phase Lead and carry out electrical engineering projects for industrial clients in Quebec and Canada Participate in multidisciplinary projects as a senior electrical expert Prepare and supervise the production of plans and specifications for engineering projects Supervise or participate in preparing and drafting technical study reports Manage technical projects (project teams, design reviews, costs, schedules) Ensure the transfer of technical knowledge to young engineers Lead and participate in preparing proposals Prepare material take-offs and studies Work on various stages of major projects, depending on the level of engineering involved

Overview of certifications and job requirements



Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Member of the Ordre des ingenieurs du Quebec At least five years of professional experience, mainly in major industrial and multidisciplinary projects Technical and functional skills in medium- and low-voltage industrial power distribution Experience managing a team (of two to five resources) Ability to draft technical documents Bilingual (English and French), both spoken and written Available to work at our client sites and offices in Quebec and the rest of Canada Experience in low- and medium-voltage industrial power distribution design Solid knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code Asset: knowledge of ETAP and AutoCAD software Asset: OPEX experience at client sites Asset: experience with site supervision Asset: knowledge of foreign electrical codes, standards and methods
