We are looking for a Diesel engine field service technician to join our team at our Dartmouth location.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Engage customers in a courteous and professional manner. Anticipates and ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs.
Apply the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete less complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools
Perform preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on power generation products in the field.
Escalate unresolved issues to more experienced Field Service Technicians and/or Supervisor.
Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
Complete training in line with skill and business requirements.
Maintain service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to site management and to their supervisor.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
Education, certification, licenses:
Heavy duty mechanics certification.
A clean driving record.
Locally valid driving permit
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Intermediate level of field experience
Intermediate experience with engines
Able to work with little supervision
Experience with marine vessels considered as an advantage.
If you have experience completing sea trials-this is also an asset
Customer facing role experience is a must.
About the role:
This is a field service position with some work outside regular hours (Saturdays AND OR late hours on weekdays).
