JOB OVERVIEW



We are seeking an Engine Configuration Specialist to support configuration management activities related to CFM56 aircraft engine maintenance. This role plays a key part in ensuring engine configuration accuracy, regulatory compliance, and alignment between engineering, OEM documentation, and ERP systems.

This position is part of the Engineering department and serves as a technical focal point for configuration management and regulatory-driven configuration changes. The role includes responsibility for the structured annual review of Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), and Engine Shop Manual (ESM) revisions, and for coordinating the implementation of required changes.

You will work cross-functionally with engineering, quality, production, and technical records teams, and act as a technical reference for engine configuration, documentation, and change management.

Responsibilities:Lead configuration management (CM) support for CFM56 engine maintenance activities Act as an engineering focal point for configuration management and technical change implementation Review and analyze engineering changes and coordinate updates with engineering, quality, production, and technical records teams Ensure customer and regulatory requirements are accurately implemented and reflected in configuration records Perform annual reviews of ADs, SBs, and ESM revisions, assess their impact on engine configurations and processes, and coordinate the implementation of required changes across engineering, quality, and operational teams Plan, set up, and maintain OEM and engineering instructions within the ERP system Maintain part interchangeability and engine/module/component configurations in accordance with OEM publications and customer-specific requirements Manage parent-child-grandchild configuration relationships across engines, modules, and components Lead OEM publication revisions and ensure internal documentation remains current and compliant Communicate and resolve configuration-related issues with OEMs and internal and external stakeholders Align Work Order Scope (WOS) documentation with FTAI technical specifications Develop, maintain, and improve engineering and configuration management processes Support and participate in PMA/DER approval activities, including documentation review and coordination

Qualifications:3-5 years of relevant technical experience in aircraft engine development, MRO, or engineering support
(configuration management, technical records, planning, or similar roles)
Experience working with aircraft engine components and configurations, ideally within ATA 72 Familiarity with aviation regulations and technical documentation (FARs, CARs, Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives) Exposure to engine components such as LLPs, HPC, HPT, LPT, fan modules, exhaust, LRUs, and accessories Strong analytical, problem-solving, and investigation skills (root cause analysis) Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple teams Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Fluent in French and English (written and spoken) Experience with Quantum Control or other ERP systems is considered an asset

Intermediate level knowledge of English is necessary for aeronautical personnel to meet regulatory requirements, understand technical procedures and instructions, and document entries regarding work performed on the aeronautical product for customers outside Quebec.
