Reporting to the Senior Clinical Manager, Patient and Family Experience, the full-time, permanent Engagement Lead will lead patient and family engagement work within the Patient and Family Experience team and Quality, Experience and Safety portfolio. This includes supporting the work of the PFE teams with patient and family partners, including the Patient and Family Partners Program and advisory committees. This role will also lead staff capacity building related to patient and family engagement, developing and delivery of education and training for teams and the collection and analysis of experience data, including through CAMH's new experience surveys deployed using Qualtrics. This position will work collaboratively with the Quality Excellence Council and Quality Working Groups to review experience data for the purposes of identifying quality improvement opportunities. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, preparing correspondence, preparing formal reports and presentations, and other duties as assigned. You will support a workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements. This position is located at the Queen Street Site.
Job Requirements
The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (such as healthcare administration or business administration) or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. You will also have:
3 years relevant experience in health care or related fields, including experience in mental health and addictions
Experience working with patient and family partners/advisors is required
2-3 years of experience in project management, continuous improvement, or quality-focused roles
Experience leading projects and implementing change initiatives within multidisciplinary teams.
Strong knowledge of health care administration, hospital operations, and regulatory requirements, particularly within mental health services in Canada
Knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and mental health legislation.
Understanding of adult education principles and demonstrated facilitation skills as well as familiarity with engagement strategies for patients, families and stakeholders
Ability to analyze data, identify trends and conduct root cause analyses to support decision-making
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and advocate effectively with diverse audiences (patients, families, healthcare providers, leadership)
Proficient in the use of the advanced level Microsoft Office suite of applications, Adobe Acrobat Professional and related software combined with an ability to learn new applications quickly
Project management certification is an asset
Quality improvement methodology certification is an asset
