We are looking for an experienced mechanical engineer to join our customer delivery team full time, to contribute to the deployment of our solution at multiple commercial buildings. You will be part of a high-performing team of multi-disciplinary experts utilizing leading edge control software, developing site Optimization plans, and configuring these control algorithms into our solution.   • Assess customer buildings to identify & recommend energy optimization strategies for large-scale commercial buildings including venues, hospitals, office towers, etc. This includes collecting technical documentation such as control drawings, mechanical drawings, and determining building schedules and any operational challenges/constraints
  • Determine the appropriate energy saving strategies, and capture in a customer Optimization Plan
  • Configure EOS\xe2\x80\x99s optimization logic for a particular building utilizing advanced control sequences for energy saving & carbon reduction
  • Train building operators on the use of EOS and educate them on the optimization strategies being utilized by EOS. Respond to any customer questions and concerns.
  • Measure the energy savings by generating M&V Plans, compiling performance results and reporting performance to customer.
  • Use EOS capabilities to identify subpar operations or blind spot faults in operational equipment and recommend improvements to control algorithms.
  • Present and interact with customer operations team and energy managers
  • Travel to EOS customer facilities maybe required to perform Site Assessments
  • Become a subject matter expert in all aspects of HVAC, which could include energy storage
  • Collaborate with other team members and contribute to the knowledge base of the company; share knowledge with team members
  • Contribute to product vision and roadmap, like recommending improvements to control algorithms.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:

BAS Audits
  • Analyze BAS sequence of operations (and utility and meter data if available) to develop building-specific energy efficiency measures and associated savings estimates.
  • Validate viability of measures with operating personnel (Facility Managers, Maintenance Supervisor, etc).
Operational Efficiency
  • Development and oversight of operational efficiency measures: analysis and efficiency measure development from MT&R strategies. Work with Facility Managers and on-site technical staff to drive buy-ins of operational and energy measures.
  • Provide technical review and economic feasibilities assessment of improvement ideas from others and make recommendations.
  • Assist in the measurement and verification of energy savings measures.
Training/ Expertise
  • Coordinate training/energy awareness initiatives for staff on relevant energy topics.
  • Act as a resource to management and field staff regarding energy management.


Qualifications
  • University degree in either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and Professional Engineer Designation with minimum 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in the energy management, with a thorough background in utility markets, building optimization/controls, and building systems.
  • Experience in conducting Measurement and Verification per IPMVP an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work with people across multi-disciplines to ensure program adoption and implementation.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Detail-oriented, professional and approachable.
  • Proficiency in report writing and in using MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access).
  • Energy analytics.
  • Strong background in building operations and optimization.
  • Development of building conservation and demand management plans.
  • Conducting building energy assessment and energy efficiency measure development.
  • Strong written, oral, and presentation skills.
Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation
  • CEM
  • CMVP
