ABOUT OUR OPERATION

The Support and Development Center provide services to Agnico Eagle's various Canadian and / or international mining operations in a variety of areas, including administration, financial services, IT, supply chain, human resources, communications, construction as well as technical services (geology, engineering, metallurgy, infrastructure, marketing, innovation, and digital transformation).

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the Infrastructure Superintendent, you will be part of the Technical Services Department. Agnico Eagle aims to reduce its carbon emissions by 30% by 2030 and achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. You will play a key role in supporting these goals by helping the company understand its energy needs, improve its energy efficiency, and implement decarbonization projects. You will also be responsible for evaluating technologies related to the efficient production and use of energy and decarbonization, as well as monitoring the energy needs of operations to ensure that they have the required energy blocks. You will also ensure that objectives are met while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle's values, the Health and Safety Code of Conduct and the Environment.


Ensure that current and future operations have access to the energy required to achieve their full potential plans; Support the various groups in the design and implementation of solutions to optimize the energy balance of current and future operations; Coordinate and facilitate the transfer of energy and decarbonization projects between strategic and operational groups; Write technical studies (preliminary, pre-feasibility and feasibility) and presentations of identified projects to confirm their profitability; Carry out the various engineering phases required for the implementation of energy and decarbonization projects; Support the implementation of projects and solutions related to energy management and decarbonization.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Bachelor's Degree in Applied Science or equivalent technical training; 10 years of engineering experience; 5 years of experience in energy efficiency and/or decarbonization; Energy expertise in the mining industry; Member in good standing of the Ordre des Ingenieurs du Quebec (OIQ); Proficient in the use of the English & French language since the work will be done in collaboration with other Agnico Eagle sites whose main language is English or French.

Your work schedule :

Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday; Possibility of a 5/2-4/3 schedule; Possibility of working in one of the AEM offices closer to your residence, in Rouyn-Noranda, Val-d'Or, Mirabel or Toronto. There is an opportunity to have a hybrid work schedule, i.e. working some days from an AEM office and some days telecommuting; You must also be willing to travel as required to different sites in Canada and abroad.
