Role Overview:



The Job Developer, as part of the employment team will match and market clients to suitable employment and learning opportunities. This individual will encourage and equip clients to achieve employment success and promote a culture of leadership, autonomy and engagement. Acting as a true collaborator the Job Developer will develop relationships with individual clients, the ATN team, our employer partnerships and our larger community. The Job Developer will ensure service delivery standards in accordance with all regulatory bodies, funder, and organizational defined outcomes and guidelines.

Primary Responsibilities:



Conduct one-on-one meetings to determine strengths and create employment action plans Match clients with employment opportunities Develop and maintain a diverse network of employer partnerships to source job openings, secure employment and training opportunities Assist employers with creating adaptive interview, onboarding and on-the-job training plans Liaise with employers and participants during all stages of the employment/placement period acting as both a participant and employer resource Conduct assessments for disability and create accommodation plans as necessary Provide job coaching and mentoring support to clients, including attending interviews, working entire shifts with clients, creating job aids, and implementing accessibility plans Document client progress through up-to-date case management tracking Regularly attend community meetings, networking events, and job fairs Other duties as assigned

Job Skills & Qualifications:



Post-Secondary degree and/or diploma in Social Services or other related fields of study, or an equivalent combination of employment experience Cross-functional team player and collaborator with excellent communication, and relationship building skills Effective written and verbal communication skills Highly flexible, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse client base

Police Records Check and Vulnerable Position Screening



This position requires incumbents to submit a current Police Records Check and Vulnerable Position Screening from their local police service.

Working Conditions



This position will require the incumbent to work in a seated position for part of each day for administrative responsibilities, with minimal lifting requirements. There is some exposure to dust, dirt, odors, noise and temperature. The incumbent may be required to deal with individuals, including alone or in close confines, who may be potentially dangerous and/or exposed to rudeness or profanity. Interruptions are constant throughout the day due to email, telephone calls and others.

This role is Full-time (Monday to Friday 8:30-4:00, with some evenings and weekends as required). The wage is between $21.00-$23.00 per hour. Benefits will begin after the probationary period of 90 days.
