Reporting to the Employment Team Leader, the Employment Case Manager will be responsible for guiding participants through training in the YESS program. Other duties will be assigned as necessary. Qualified candidates possess exceptional communication and leadership skills, work well in a fast paced and dynamic environment, and hold values that support our corporate vision of being \xe2\x80\x9cA community where youth are embraced and will thrive\xe2\x80\x9d.

Responsibilities:

• Work with participants to achieve career goals including developing strategies to address client barriers and building on client strengths.
• Work as part of a multi-faceted team to deliver a comprehensive employment counselling that meets the individual needs of all clients.
• Work within an outcome-based contract.
• Assess clients and ensure they receive appropriate supports and are referred to resources that address challenges outside of employment.
• Develop and monitor employment action plans with clients and develop strategies to track outcomes.
• Report client progress and milestones through the Grants and Contributions Online Services (GCOS).
• Ensure file consistency for funder audits.
• Complete intakes for YESS program interventions and develop strategies for encouraging consistent attendance.
• Keep abreast of labour market trends, employment issues, community resources, job training, and employment opportunities.
• Assist clients to access Workshops, Training, Job Development, Short-Term Training, Interviews, and Workplace placements.
• Act as a champion of YOU and the YESS program, promoting our services throughout community and networking events.

Qualifications:

• University Degree or minimum 2-year College Diploma in human/social services from an accredited institution.
• Prior experience meeting goals in a target driven work environment.
• Prior experience working with youth, including persons from diverse cultural backgrounds and LGBTQ2S groups.
• Prior experience working with youth involved in the criminal justice system an asset.
• Proven crisis management and case management skills is an asset.
• Strong case documentation, statistical reporting, file management and organizational skills.
• Ability to support youth in need of urgent assistance through referrals to community resources.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office 365 as well as other software programs are required
• Suicide Prevention, Crisis Intervention and Prevention Training (PMAB or CPI) is an asset
• Flexibility in scheduling to meet program needs including evenings and weekends
• Police Vulnerable Sector Check for youth population
• Access to a reliable personal vehicle and possess appropriate insurance coverage

Salary: $20.55-$26.23 per hour
