Support the Development and Deployment of Practical Experience Requirements for the New CPA Certification Program
(full-time, contract - 12 to 18 months)
CPA Ontario is currently in search of an Employer Relations Officer who will support the development and deployment of the practical experience requirements in the new CPA Certification Program, including content development, reporting requirements and systems, process and workflows and stakeholder resources.
The Employer Relations Officer is a proactive problem-solver, strong communicator, and detail-oriented professional who thrives on collaboration, continuous improvement, and stakeholder engagement. Contract employees must be willing to be flexible and willing to support program requirements as needed.
What You'll Be Doing:
Developing and converting workplans for existing and new employers training CPA students in accordance with new program and regulatory requirements.
Preparing, implementing and delivering various communications and resources (presentations, info sessions, webinars, FAQs, websites) to educate students, employers and internal teams on new program requirements and transitioning requirements
Assisting with development, testing and implementation of practical experience workflows and reporting tool.
Who You Are:
A CPA in good standing with at least 5 years of post-designation experience, and a degree and/or diploma in a relevant field.
Experienced at working in public accounting, corporate and/or government environments.
Proven experience performing assessment work against a rubric/set of requirements.
Experienced at developing assessment rubric and/or task statements.
A clear and confident communicator with the ability to build relationships, present effectively, and resolve sensitive issues collaboratively.
A highly organized and adaptable professional with proven ability to manage multiple priorities and understand how experience data should be captured in the Practical Experience Reporting Tool (PERT).
Aware of the CPA practical experience standards, policies, practices, competency development and demonstration.
Attentive to detail with demonstrated use of critical thinking and sound judgment in decision-making.
Able to work independently while thriving in collaborative, cross-functional teams.
Skilled in interpreting regulatory frameworks and translating policy into operational and compliance tools.
Familiar with CPA program structures or other professional credentialing systems, which is considered a strong asset. Knowledge of the CPA Competency Map 2.0 is also considered an asset.
Able to demonstrate success in designing and implementing certification, training, or academic programs in regulated settings is considered an asset.
