We\'re searching for an Employee Experience Manager (Part Time) because, at Thrive, we approach things differently. What You\'ll Do Here: General Duties:
  • Develop and implement HR strategies that support the company\'s business objectives and promote a positive employee experience.
  • Manage the company\'s recruitment and hiring processes, including sourcing, interviewing, and selecting candidates.
  • Assist with the management, execution, and tracking of workplace training initiatives.
  • Assist with the management and tracking of employee disciplinary actions.
  • Provide advice and guidance to managers and employees on HR policies and procedures, including employee relations, benefits, and compensation.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data confidentiality.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve the company\'s HR software.
  • Document, develop, maintain, and improve HR forms & procedures.
  • Manage, enroll, and administer our existing benefits program.
  • Research and track employment grants & bursaries.
  • Setup and training of Zoho apps.
  • Maintaining, tracking, and reporting apprentice electrician work hours with Skills BC.
  • Keep track of company technology & uniform inventory.
  • Assisting with the preparation of audit, safety, and project binders.
  • Administrative tasks include printing, ordering business cards & uniforms, picking up mail, purchasing client/employee gifts.
Employee Engagement & Experience:
  • Proactively oversee the performance management process, performance reviews, and coaching.
  • Plan and manage employee engagement initiatives, including employee events, recognition programs, and other activities designed to promote a positive workplace culture.
  • Design and develop employee engagement strategies and plans that cultivate a collaborative, open and innovative culture aligned to our organizational values.
  • Manage the implementation of employee engagement strategies and plans that address key deficiencies in the employee experience and delivers insights utilizing data & surveys.
  • Connecting with all employees monthly to ensure that they have all the necessary tools to succeed at their job and addressing concerns quickly.
  • Scheduling voluntary sessions with employees to discuss short and long term goals and how you can assist them in attaining their aspirations.
  • Regularly advocating our six core values to our staff and ensuring that everyone complies with them.
What you will need to succeed:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in human resources or related field is desired.
  • At least 5 years of progressive HR experience, including 2 years in a management role.
  • Experience in the construction or electrical contracting industry is an asset.
  • You are a self-starter who can take initiative to get things done.
  • You are resourceful and have a knack for finding creative solutions to problems.
  • You are a strategic thinker who is always looking for ways to improve processes and procedures.
  • You are adaptable and able to adjust to new situations quickly.
  • You are a team player who values the input of and contributions of others.
  • You are a continuous learner who is committed to ongoing professional development.

  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
  • Strong skills in computers & technology.
  • Experience in Zoho People and other Zoho Apps an asset.
  • Able to pass Police and Security Checks.
