We have an exciting new opportunity in our People and Culture Group (HR). We are currently seeking an Employee Engagement & Experience Specialist to support employee engagement.
What You Will Do
--------------------
As The Employee Engagement & Experience Specialist you will provide expertise and consultation to support the in the design, implementation, and evaluation of employee engagement and experience initiatives at TTC. Reporting to the Manager, Employee Engagement & Experience, you will contribute to the TTC's goal of fostering a workplace culture that is inclusive, engaging, and aligned with organizational values. The Specialist plays a key role in executing engagement surveys, analyzing data, supporting action planning, and coordinating internal communications and events that enhance the employee experience.
This role collaborates cross-functionally to implement programs, gather insights, and ensure employees feel valued, heard and connected to the organization's mission and values by working closely with leaders, HR partners, business units to ensure employee voices are heard and translated into action.
You will work collaboratively with vendors and other subject matter experts to evolve TTC's employee engagement program and explore the best ways to implement changes to the survey when the need arises while taking into consideration the nature of the business.
You will collaborate with multiple stakeholders while utilizing familiarity with Organizational Development, Engagement and Change Management principles to sustain and deliver programs and projects.
You will also keep abreast of employee engagement/experience trends, research, and methodologies.
In addition, you will promote and communicate employee experience strategies and programs to staff at all levels across the organization to gain buy-in and support.
In addition to the above you will promote a respectful work and service environment that supports diversity, inclusion, and is free from harassment and discrimination. Provides leadership in the development and implementation of inclusive and accessible policies, programs and/or services for employees and customers in accordance with TTC's commitments and obligations under the Ontario Human Rights Code (OHRC) and Related Orders, the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), and TTC's policies.
What Qualifications Do You Bring?

Completion of post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field, along with related work experience leading employee engagement surveys and action planning for large complex organizations; or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent
Must have or acquire a thorough familiarity with the TTC's organizational structure, functions, operations, policies and procedures applicable to the work performed
Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Human Resources functions, legislation, and best practices, and in particular experience with managing the design and delivery of employee engagement surveys
Sound knowledge of program design practices and demonstrated consulting and change management skills
Strong understanding of the employee experiences life cycle
Data-driven with the ability to collect, synthesize and analyze large quantities of quantitative and qualitative data, discover insights and recognize trends, and develop recommendations based on data analysis
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and relationship building skills
Follows HR technology trends, integrates technology in the delivery of the employee experience, and drives continuous improvement
Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Project management skills to lead or participate on self-directed teams, projects and initiatives
Proficiency with relevant computer software applications and databases such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, including experience preparing correspondence, presentations, reports, spreadsheets and briefing notes, and researching, reviewing and tracking information
Proficient in the use of computer software relevant to the work (e.g. Microsoft Office, etc.)
Must have or rapidly acquire a comprehensive knowledge of the Ontario Human Rights Code and Related Orders including disability accommodation and accessibility requirements of passengers and employees
