Employee Attendance and Staffing Assistant




Under the direction of the Manager, Strategic Human Resources (HR), the Employee Attendance & Staffing Assistant plays a key role in working with the district's on-call staff to ensure that daily staffing needs are met. In addition, the position provides general support for all HR-related functions. As a key member of the HR team, this position requires interaction with staff and leadership on a variety of matters and must maintain a high level of confidentiality in the performance of all duties. Minimum two (2) years of recent and relevant experience in an office setting, preferably within human resources or public education Minimum of one (1) year of post-secondary education in office or business administration preferred and coursework specializing in Human Resources, an asset Experience using an HR information system, and familiarity with Atrieve ERP and the use of an automated employee dispatch system, an asset Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook as well as familiarity with host and internet-based computer applications A combination of education and experience may be considered

The salary range for this full-time position is $61,750 to $77,187 per annum. Initial placement within the range is based on related education and experience. Sooke School District offers a competitive benefits package and pension plan.
