Job Overview


We are seeking a dedicated EMG Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist in conducting electromyography (EMG) procedures to aid in diagnosing neuromuscular disorders. This role requires attention to detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work closely with medical professionals to ensure accurate and efficient testing. Candidates should have a solid understanding of medical terminology and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities



Prepare patients for EMG procedures by explaining the process and ensuring comfort and cooperation. Set up and operate EMG equipment according to established protocols. Conduct nerve conduction studies and electromyography tests accurately, adhering to safety standards. Record, analyze, and document test results thoroughly for review by physicians. Maintain cleanliness and proper calibration of all testing equipment. Assist in scheduling appointments and managing patient flow efficiently. Follow all safety protocols and infection control procedures during testing procedures. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient care and accurate diagnostics.

Requirements



Prior experience or training in conducting EMG procedures is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology related to neuromuscular diagnostics is essential. Strong technical aptitude with the ability to operate specialized medical equipment. Excellent communication skills for explaining procedures and interacting with patients compassionately. Ability to work accurately under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Certification or licensure as required by state or facility standards is a plus but not mandatory for internship roles. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to healthcare regulations.

Corporate Responsibilities:



Participates in all mandatory training requirements and work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations, Schroeder Ambulatory Centre Policies and Procedures, as well as established industry guidelines
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 - 44 per week
