THE OPPORTUNITY






Ambipar. is currently seeking an

Emergency Response Technician (ERT) based out of the

Lower Mainland

. The successful individual will be responsible for responding to emergency situations, ensuring the safety of people, property, and the environment through timely and effective action.



Applicants must be located in the Lower Mainland.

RESPONSIBILITIES AT HAND / WHAT YOUR DAYS WILL CONSIST OF:



OPERATIONAL




Deliver prompt and efficient emergency responses to incidents such as plant and rail fires, spills, medical emergencies, and alarms, utilizing a range of effective rescue tactics. Ensure having full understanding of daily assignment(s). Maintain all equipment, fire systems, fire apparatus, and assets. Provide training to staff and client personnel. Design fire plans and complete fire code inspections. Discuss operational needs with onsite representative, if required. Ensure acting within the appropriate response time.



SAFETY





Review and demonstrate compliance regarding the company and clients HSEQ policies and procedures as directed by the HSEQ Manager. Provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions. Correct hazards and improper activities as soon as they are observed. Immediately report to site lead all accidents, incidents, injuries, and illnesses.



REPORTING





Complete daily scope of work, PJHA, permits and upload to the designated location. Complete documentation of emergency response with site lead. Provide reports as required from the Client.



REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:





Physically fit and capable of performing an emergency response technique. NFPA 1081 or NFPA 1001 Level II. NFPA 472/1072 Technician/ Operations Level NFPA 1006 Confined Space Technician H2S Alive. Advanced First Aid/EMR or above. Valid Class 5 Drivers License with clean abstract. ICS 100 / 200. Working knowledge with the following programs - SharePoint, Excel, Outlook, WhatsApp. Successful completion of drug and alcohol tests as required by both legislation and clients. Successful completion of annual physical fitness test. Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills. Positive and professional attitude. Must reside in the Lower Mainland or Greater Vancouver area



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:




2 years of industrial response experience will be considered an asset. NFPA 1006 Rope Rescue Technician NFPA 1006 Swift Water Technician NFPA 1002- Driver/ Operator, Pump Operator NFPA 1041 Fire and Emergency Services Instructor ICS 300 Valid Class 3 with Q endorsement or above, driver's license. Rail response experience, including firefighting, HAZMAT cleanup and capping kits.



SCHEDULE



Casual/Part-Time 8 to 12-hour shifts Day shift * Night shift
