Sessional Instructional Assistant
is available in the Department of Philosophy for the Fall 2025 and Winter 2026 academic session. This is a emergency posting in accordance with the Collective Agreement between The Governing Council of the University of Toronto and the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 3902 Unit 3.

Salary:
$54.27/hour plus applicable vacation pay.

Schedule:
Must be available to assist in-person with writing assignments during CSC tutorials on November 5 and 6.

Minimum Qualifications:
BA in Philosophy or equivalent;
Good prior knowledge of ethics, especially applied ethics.
Preferred Qualifications:
BA in Philosophy or equivalent;

Prior experience as a course instructor or TA in philosophy, computer science, and/or embedded ethics at U of T is preferred.
Relevant Criterion:
Previous experience is the more relevant criterion than the need to acquire experience in respect of this posted position.
Duties and responsibilities:
Grading and preparation for grading;
organizing and submitting grades;
attending training sessions;
meetings with supervisor;
assisting students with assignments.
