4-day on, 4-day off rotating schedule; 37.5 hours per week.

Overview:



Supporting the Vision, Values, Purpose, and Commitment of Olive Fertility Centre:

This is a position for an Embryology Assistant to perform support and administrative duties at the embryology laboratory at Olive Fertility Centre.

Key Areas of Involvement Include

:

Daily Quality Control: perform morning QC in the lab at 7:30am, and report any deviations for corrective action. Patient Chart review and chart preparation. Maintenance of progress notes. Sample labelling and identification. Dish & embryo identification. Media preparation and QC. Data entry. Selection of embryos to thaw. Fert check and embryo grading support. Additional duties as required.

Qualifications:



Education, Training and Experience:



Medical Office Assistant certificate or diploma, or equivalent. Previous medical office experience or laboratory administration experience. Previous embryology assistant experience is an asset.

Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work in an environment subject to changing deadlines, stress, and focus in a busy environment. Ability to discuss intimate medical topics in a professional, compassionate manner. Professional, friendly demeanour. Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of healthcare professionals. Ability to quickly adapt to varying needs of organization. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Calm, pleasant demeanour with strong telephone skills: pleasant tone and receptive voice. Ability to speak and write fluently in English.

Pay: From $53,000.00 per year

AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
