Position Summary:

Tacten is seeking an experienced embedded Planner to join our team on Nova Chem Joffre. In this role, you will responsible for day to day development, coordination, and execution of inspection and mechanical projects utilizing rope access or alternative access solutions. In order to ensure effective planning, scheduling, and execution of asset inspections and mechanical services, this individual will work closely with the inspection teams, project managers, and supporting contractors.

Project Details:

Duration - Start date as soon as possible until end of year, with likely extension into spring TA Shift - Monday - Thursday, 10 hour shifts Location - Nova Chem Joffre outside of Red Deer Travel and LOA provided for non-locals, however must reside near major Alberta hub (Calgary or Edmonton)

Responsibilities:
Maintain daily contact with the client regarding the progress of projects and work priorities, estimate the best cost possible, assign hours to the execution of the scope and assemble and distribute work packages. Ensure that work methods, procedures, standards, and training are developed and maintained at the site level to support both client employees and Acuren employees. Engage in close collaboration with the client's planning team and demonstrate a clear understanding of the deliverables when defining the scope of the project. In collaboration with the client inspection group, develop appropriate work packages to ensure a clear understanding of the deliverables. Coordinate and schedule mechanical work scopes & inspections, ensuring that equipment, personnel, and permits are available. Identify the scope of work, timelines, and deliverables for each project in collaboration with inspection teams and project managers. Manage and direct multiple mechanical and/or NDE rope crews and ensure a clear understanding of the work scope and deliverables. Assist the local logistics team in providing employees and site leaders with the resources, equipment, training, and tools required to perform their duties effectively. Determine the most effective and appropriate method of access for performing work, whether that be conventional (scaffolding, JLG etc.) or alternative (RAT solutions, V-Deck etc.) and Laisse with team leads to ensure that it is conducted in a proper manner. Establish and maintain detailed RIAS plans for inspections & mechanical scopes, ensuring that regulatory requirements, client specifications, and asset integrity protocols are met. Maintain an accurate and timely record of all inspection documentation, including reports, checklists, and findings. Develop risk-based inspection (RBI) plans to prioritize critical assets and reduce operational risks. Maintain a working knowledge of the industry's standards, regulations, and best practices with respect to NDT and asset integrity.

Requirements:
Journeyperson status in a mechanical trade such as Welding or Pipefitting. An IRATA Rope Access Ticket (Preference given to those with a Level 3 ticket). The ability to manage multiple simultaneous demands with excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to build and maintain effective client relationships, anticipating and managing client expectations effectively. Results-oriented, with the ability to build trust with a broad network of colleagues, subcontractors, and colleagues. Excellent client engagement skills and the ability to articulate Tacten's value proposition effectively. Demonstrated leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills in supporting a collaborative team approach. Proficient with standard corporate software: Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook etc. Demonstrates a thorough understanding of, and compliance with, the provincial Occupational Health and Safety Acts and Regulations, as well as Tacten and Acuren's Safety and Quality Management System, policies, and procedures. Previous experience within a Planning role considered a strong asset.
