Purpose: As an Email and SMS Specialist at Giant Tiger, you will be instrumental in revolutionizing our email and SMS marketing efforts. You will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing personalized campaigns that drive customer engagement and boost profitability. By leveraging your expertise in email and SMS marketing, you will enhance our segmentation strategies, improve database maintenance, and create captivating content that resonates with our target audience. Your contributions will be vital in increasing online and offline traffic, maximizing conversions, and driving revenue growth for the company.


Role Specific Accountabilities

• Build email briefs aligning to the digital content calendar including requirements gathering, creating work back plans and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure GT?s marketing, transactional and flow based emails support the corporate go-to-market strategies, drive conversion and increase sell thru
• Produce and execute email and SMS segmentation and targeting strategies to promote products, drive conversions and maximize relevance, engagement and performance
  as well as service and maintain healthy email and SMS databases
• Conduct campaign analysis and report on performance metrics such as open rate, deliverability, click rate, opt-out and conversion rate; providing actionable insights and recommendations for future improvements and optimization as well as influence the email content strategy, and editorial/content calendar with the Digital Marketing Group Manager
• Execute, in collaboration with the analytics team, an iterative testing strategy for new types of campaigns and flows (email and SMS), audience and send frequency, reporting on results to gain actionable insights; continuously improving the customer experience, engagement and conversion rates
• Conduct work in partnership with the Product Management Team, Data Analytics, and external vendors to ensure technical aspects of emails are functioning and provide recommendations for new features driving innovation and lowering operational costs
• Work with design team to execute email creative and designs, recommend innovative creative ideas, identify recommendations for template designs to create efficiencies, reduce time to market while supporting personalization and new email best practices
• Implement processes with the Site Merchandising and Onboarding teams to ensure optimal landing page experiences, conduct quality control and validate messaging and content in emails and SMS before deployment

Knowledge & Skills
Requirements

• Bachelors? degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Design or a related field
• 3+ years in email and SMS marketing
• Experience with email and SMS marketing platforms such as Klaviyo
• Experience with A/B testing and segmentation
• Experience with email database building, and maintenance
• Experience using site analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Looker with strong analytical skills and ability to measure the success of campaigns
• Experience with marketing automation software such as Segment
• Experience working with Graphic designers and copy writers
• Ability to prioritize and re-prioritize work
• Knowledge of retail and eCommerce industry
• Customer focused with a mobile first mentality

Assets

• Experience in both Agile and Scrum
• Experience working with Figma and Jira
• Bilingual
