Cambridge Elevating, the premium residential elevator manufacturer is looking to hire a full time employee. Our purpose is to design, build, and support the best residential elevator equipment that allows people to age in place, build houses on a smaller plot of land, live their life with a higher degree of comfort, & overcome accessibility needs. Phone support experience and electro-mechanical experience are both excellent, but we have a high emphasis on work ethic, punctuality, and a good attitude. The salary range is $50k - $58k to start depending on experience with electro-mechanical devices and phone based support. As part of the compensation package for full time permanent employees, we offer benefits (after 3 months) and an RRSP contribution matching plan (after 1 year). Also, there are 2 weeks of vacation that accrue over time served. Our operations are located at 181 Shearson Cres just behind the ice park on Franklin, in Cambridge. This is in close proximity to the iXpress, 53, 75, & 60 bus routes. At our shop we have additional employee benefits that include a fitness facility on site with showers, and a full kitchen. Primary role: To answer phone calls, texts, facetimes, and emails from elevator technicians all over North America and assist them in answering their questions, shipping them parts, troubleshooting their issues and providing general technical support. Secondary role: Working with the engineering, sales and production teams, providing technical assistance and feedback as well as expanding our dealer training library of how-to videos and tips & tricks video series. Responsibilities and Expected Results

  • Provide partner level assistance to our dealer base
  • Keeping the service parts area clean, organized and fully stocked
  • Packaging and shipping parts
  • Answering calls, texts and emails from technicians
  • Testing electronic equipment
  • Supporting and improving our quality procedures
  • Recording all calls in a call database to build our knowledge and distill trends
  • Updating the call database, and closing calls when they are complete
  • Directed self-training on all past and current products
  • Shadow senior staff and learn from their calls
  • Support production departments in need of troubleshooting or other assistance
Qualifications and Skills
  • Solution focused
  • Background in customer service is an asset
  • Proficient with standard office computer programs
  • Relevant experience with electro-mechanical systems
  • Electrical and/or electronic training and/or experience
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to troubleshoot complicated electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely on the phone and by email
  • A drive to set our customers up for success
  • An excitement to learn something new every day
  • Builder of effective relationships
