We are seeking dedicated and experienced Math tutors to join our team. For this position, we are specifically hiring for:
Elementary/High-school Level: Science Tutors
teachers that are familiar with Nelson and McGraw Hill-Ryerson textbooks are preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience:
Previous classroom experience in teaching Sciences is
REQUIRED
. Candidates should be familiar with a range of math textbooks such as Nelson and McGraw Hill-Ryerson. Experience in tutoring or related fields will also be considered.
Subject Knowledge:
Strong expertise in Science, with the ability to teach concepts across different grade levels (elementary to high school).
Curriculum Development:
Ability to develop your own teaching materials, slides, and topics tailored to the individual needs of students.
Experience with Children/Adolescents:
Proven experience working with students, particularly within the elementary and high school age ranges.
Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex mathematical concepts in an understandable and engaging manner.
Adaptability:
Ability to tailor teaching methods to meet the unique learning styles of each student.
Patience and Empathy:
The ability to motivate students and foster a supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement personalized lesson plans based on the individual needs of each student, including recommended textbooks and self-developed materials.
Provide small group tutoring sessions to students across elementary and high school levels, focusing on key math concepts and problem-solving skills.
Help students improve their math skills, prepare for school tests/competitions, and build a strong foundation in mathematics.
Design and administer tests and quizzes to monitor student progress and enhance their learning process.
Utilize effective teaching strategies to engage students and enhance their understanding and performance in Math.
Monitor student progress and provide
weekly
feedback to both the Institute and parents.
Collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure that tutoring sessions complement the classroom curriculum.
Maintain a positive, supportive, and intellectually stimulating learning environment.
