We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher to join our team. As a Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds and lives of young children. You will create a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and develop essential skills for their future.
Duties:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities and lesson plans
- Provide a safe and supportive learning environment for children
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through engaging activities
- Monitor and assess each child's progress and provide feedback to parents or guardians
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive learning environment
- Maintain accurate records of each child's attendance, behavior, and development
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress
- Ensure the classroom is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies
Experience:
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Familiarity with special education techniques is a plus
- Strong time management skills to effectively plan lessons and activities
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to provide leadership and guidance to children
Requirements
-Must possess a valid BC Teaching Licence to practice
-Must obtain a clear criminal record check
-Wiling to become familiar with the Montessori philosophy and engage in this style of learning in the classroom. Training will be provided.
