We are currently seeking a dynamic and compassionate Tutor to join our club and help students excel in their foundational years (Kindergarten to Grade 6).

The Opportunity: What You'll Do

We are hiring one experienced tutor to work with two distinct small groups of students:

Foundational Group (K-Grade 3):

Focus on literacy (phonics, reading comprehension) and numeracy (basic operations, number sense).

Intermediate Group (Grade 4-6):

Focus on more complex ELA concepts (writing structure, grammar) and Mathematics (fractions, decimals, problem-solving).

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Delivery:

Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons that supplement and reinforce core elementary school curriculum (based on

Ontario Curriculum

).

Small-Group Instruction:

Manage and instruct groups of

, ensuring every student receives focused attention and differentiated instruction.

Assessment & Tracking:

Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt tutoring strategies to meet individual learning needs and goals.

Material Preparation:

Develop or utilize existing educational materials, manipulatives, and activities to make learning interactive and fun.

Communication:

Maintain professional and timely communication with [e.g., Program Coordinator, Parents] regarding student progress and scheduling.

What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications:

Experience:

Minimum of

[1 year]

experience tutoring or teaching students in the K-6 age range. Minimum age requirement: 15years

Expertise:

Deep familiarity with elementary-level curriculum standards across all core subjects.

Soft Skills:

Exceptional communication, patience, organizational, and classroom management skills.

Preferred Skills (Assets):

Experience with multi-age or differentiated instruction. Ability to integrate technology into lessons (e.g., educational apps, interactive whiteboards).

Experience

Prior experience working with elementary-aged children is preferred Experience with tutoring or providing additional academic support is advantageous Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff Demonstrated ability to create an inclusive, engaging, and supportive classroom environment Knowledge of current educational best practices and curriculum standards is desirable
