Elementary Math Tutor
Job Description
As a tutor and mentor with Scholars Education Centre Oakville Glen, you will be responsible to provide superior individualized academic support to students. You are joining a dynamic team who want you to make a difference for each student who you have the opportunity of working with!
Essential Job Functions
Instruct students on an as-needed basis
Students will bring their homework in centre. No prep time required to prepare a lesson plan
Accurately provide reporting regarding student progress as required
Attend training workshops as needed
Complete administrative tasks when required
Achieve Real Life Results for each student! Follow, adapt, and provide feedback regarding each student's individual Goal Sheet - our guideline and benchmark to providing individual success for each student we work with!
Requirements
NOT a remote job. Candidate must be able to commute to and from work.
Outgoing and able to engage with younger students
Preference given to tutors who can teach Grade 1-8
Must be comfortable working in centre and online
Experienced and educated in the background of tutoring/mentoring to be provided Excellent communication skills Able to work both as a part of a team and independently Strong communication and multitasking abilities Experience with students in a teaching or tutoring environment Excellent organizational skillsJob Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
Schedule:
Monday to Friday On call Weekends as needed
Work Location: In person
