We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary Math Instructor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mathematics and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching young learners. This role involves creating an engaging learning environment that fosters a love for math and helps students develop their skills. The instructor will work closely with students, parents, and other educators to ensure that each child receives the support they need to succeed academically.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
Teach elementary math concepts in an engaging and accessible manner.
Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
Create a positive classroom environment that encourages participation and fosters a love for learning.
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance instructional strategies.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and areas for improvement.
Utilize technology, including Microsoft Office, to enhance teaching methods and maintain organized records.
Provide support for students with special needs or disabilities, adapting lessons as necessary.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field preferred.
Experience working with children in an educational setting is essential; classroom experience is highly valued.
Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in French or bilingual capabilities are advantageous.
Familiarity with tutoring techniques and early childhood education principles is preferred.
Excellent organizational skills and time management abilities to effectively plan lessons and manage classroom activities.
Proficient computer skills to utilize educational software and maintain records efficiently.
