POSITION: Elementary Intermediate Teacher - temporary
ASSIGNMENT: Grade 4-5
FTE: 1.0
LOCATION: Barlow Creek Elementary School
EFFECTIVE DATES: Commencing October 21, 2025 until January 1, 2026 or earlier, depending on the return of the incumbent with the possibility of extension
Basic Qualifications:
A successful candidate will hold a valid BC Teaching Certificate and be a member in good standing in the BC Ministry of Education, Teacher Regulation Branch AND possess one or more of the following:Training Specialization:
Elementary Education with specialization at the intermediate levelRelated Teaching Experience:
Recent successful experience teaching at the intermediate levelA Reasonable Expectation:
based on a teacher's skills, abilities, professional development, and overall classroom teaching experience, that the teacher will be able to perform the duties in a successful manner in collaboration with other professional staff.Additional Qualifications:

Willingness to work as part of the school-based team. Commitment to working as part of a team in the development and implementation of the School Growth Plan. Willingness to support whole-school environmental initiatives. Commitment to the school-wide Positive Behaviour Support program as a form of addressing behaviour in the classroom.
The starting annual salary for the full-time Teacher ranges from $61,175 to $109,520 with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement. We also offer a competitive benefits package and pension.
