Element Specialist



Reports To: Park Manager (Primary)





This Specialized role is the technical expert and operational leader responsible for upholding standards, functionality, and optimal performance of WildPlay's outdoor elements, adventure courses, and equipment with technical direction from the Element Manager. Leading the park's Tech Team, this role combines hands-on expertise in inspections and maintenance with leadership skills to uphold WildPlay's rigorous safety and operational standards.



With a passion for adventure, safety, and guest experience, this specialized role takes ownership of regular inspections, preventative maintenance schedules, and equipment repairs with guidance and development from the Elements Manager. Working with the Elements Manager to ensure that all elements meet or exceed safety requirements while delivering the thrilling and seamless experiences WildPlay is known for.





Primary Duties and Responsibilities



The subject matter expert in the Adventure Course's operation.




Leads by example, participating in operational duties, performing the role of Guide, Element Lead, or other roles as required/eligible Supports Element Lead in coaching Element Guides in all aspects of the Park Develops leadership skills within the Elements team Maintains a culture of teamwork, efficiency in Element operation, and completion of tasks Acts as a safety representative ensuring Element meets jurisdictional safety standards Proactively resolves technical issues, correcting the situation or escalating to Management Ensures that all element operations meet standards, procedures, and risk management practices and acquire knowledge/skills as standards develop Ensures that inspections/audits are conducted regularly and documented properly Performs and oversees routine maintenance in the Elements Responsible for completion of Element Guides' routine practice sessions Provides training for all elements




Qualifications, Experience & Skills


Successful completion of Tech Training and other relevant training as required Valid Standard Level 1 First Aid and CPR Passionate about meeting customer expectations and improving service levels Positive attitude and openness to leadership feedback and growth Act both independently and as a team player and assists the team unprompted Self-motivated - driven to achieve results Prioritizes tasks and duties with an attention to detail to suit the needs of the business Excellent communication skills * Ability to deliver consistently high standards of work outdoors in all weather
