Overview


We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electronics Service Manager to oversee our technical staff. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electronics technology, knowledge of two way radio communications systems, computer networking, various equipment maintenance, and mechanical knowledge. This is a demanding role as you would be the center point for all facets of the day-to-day operations of the business and will require an exceptional ability to multitask. It requires proficiency in using test equipment/hand tools, understanding computer hardware, reading schematics, and working with low voltage systems. As the Service Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of electronic systems and leading a team of technicians to deliver high-quality service.

This position would also include working alongside the staff with repairs of equipment, programming of radios, and assisting when required in regards to the installations of equipment.

Duties



Manage daily operations of the service department, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Supervise and mentor a team of technicians, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills. Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of radio communications systems, and vehicle warning light equipment. Conduct regular inspections and troubleshooting to identify issues with electronic systems. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of communications components into overall operations. Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and inventory management for electronic parts. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in all electronics-related activities. Front counter sales and support. Evaluating customer's equipment as to what form of assistance is required. Repair of equipment Programming of equipment Control of our Rental Fleet. Arranging for rentals and ensuring equipment is programmed as required. Work with Office Staff to ensure equipment is invoiced as required.

Requirements



Proven experience in service management or a similar role. Strong knowledge of radio communications, electronics equipment. Strong knowledge of computer networking principles. Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools for repairs and installations. Familiarity with computer hardware components and their functionalities. Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes. Experience working with low voltage systems is preferred. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to balance repairs alongside the immediate demands of answering phones, assisting customers at the front counter, helping sales when needed, being questioned or requested to assist in the workshop or by office staff. Strong communication skills to effectively lead a team and collaborate with other departments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $72,000.00-$83,000.00 per year
