Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining CCTV, card access and alarm systems and components. This role requires a strong understanding of electronic schematics and the ability to work with various hand tools. The Electronics Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our electronic systems. Tools and service vehicle required.

Duties

Install, diagnose and repair power door operators, CCTV, card access and alarm systems. Utilize hand tools to assemble, disassemble, and modify electronic devices. Interpret and work from schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively. Maintain computer hardware and assist with computer networking tasks as needed. Assess client security needs and suggest options to the client. Collaborate with team members. Conduct routine maintenance checks on electronic systems to ensure optimal performance. Document all repairs, maintenance activities, and modifications made to equipment.

Experience/Requirements

M-ticket preferred. Red Seal electrical ticket also acceptable. 5 years experience with CCTV, card access and alarm systems in a commercial setting is required. Experience installing and servicing power door operators is an asset. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex electronic systems. Familiarity with computer networking principles is a plus. Experience working with low voltage electrical systems is a must. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics effectively. Proficient in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment for repairs.
