JOB SUMMARY

AGLC is recruiting for a key member of a professional team that provides leadership and direction to AGLC\'s Records and Information Governance function. Reporting to the Supervisor, Records Management, the Electronic Records Management (ERM) Senior Analyst will be responsible for a comprehensive range of activities and services associated with the effective and efficient delivery of the organization\'s Records & Information Governance Program.

Working with various internal and external stakeholders (IT staff, business units, and vendors), as the ERM Senior Analyst, you will assist with planning and managing the development and delivery of Records & Information Governance solutions to support AGLC business activities.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • The analysis, evaluation, and implementation of a broad variety of RIM initiatives; including coordinating, creating, and updating current functional classification structures, retention schedules; and creating and inputting appropriate metadata tags.
  • Being accountable for in-depth reviews and the re-engineering of Records Governance requirements and practices relating to business rules and processes; as well as, coordinating and working with departments to ensure that physical and electronic records and information are retained, archived, and/or disposed of in accordance with established procedures, records management policies and legislation.
  • Providing consultation and coaching support to AGLC staff in relation to the Records Management Program, processes, and tools.
  • Leading the activities of various teams that support the continued development, implementation, and enhancement of Records solutions which includes facilitating business unit adoption, research, and develop business and training plans including a method of measuring success and identifying weaknesses in current RIM program; as well as provide, orientation and training to staff regarding RIM programs and processes.
The ERM Senior Analyst serves as a subject matter expert for the development and implementation of new applications of e-Records management and emerging technologies to further coordinated and optimized delivery of the Records Governance function with AGLC. You will be responsible for providing ongoing support to users as the primary contact with software vendor technical support and troubleshoot with IT regarding records software applications.

To be successful in this position, you will require strong organizational and time management skills in order to set priorities and adhere to established time frames. In-depth knowledge of records management software and how it relates to Records Management along with careful attention to detail and strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are required to communicate and interact effectively with various co-workers, clients, and the public. Superior analytical, research, problem solving and decision-making skills are also needed.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • A High School Diploma supported by Records and Information Management Diploma that includes records courses and a minimum of 3 years of related Records Management experience is required.
  • Experience with, and knowledge of, Information Technology and how it relates to Records Management is required.
  • FOIP training and experience with SharePoint is an asset.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and databases and an understanding of ERM technologies and implementation is necessary.
  • Member to ARMA/AIIM would be an asset.
  • The ability to lift up to 35 lbs. is required.
