Job Description


Overview

The Electronic Disclosure Assistant position is a support role in the Richmond RCMP\xe2\x80\x99s Investigative Services Section. This position is responsible for preparing disclosure packages for all Richmond RCMP Investigative Services files designated under the Major Case Management model. The incumbent will provide administrative and functional support to Investigative Services Units by entering large volumes of data and extensive scanning, converting multi-media formats and providing Major Case Management training to all levels of employees.

Examples of key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Organize and index large volumes of investigative file materials that make up disclosure packages for submission to Provincial and/or Federal Crown Counsel.
  • Ensure data security, integrity and compliance with established policies, procedures and legislation.
  • Review and edit reports to Crown Counsel for compliance with the current Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
  • Attend and take minutes for investigative file meetings.
  • Redact large volumes of documents and multi-media for investigative integrity.
  • Prepare and present in-house training materials for all skill levels.
  • Coordinate/upload covert documentation to PRIME and Intellex.
  • Review, code and process all classified expenditures.
  • Prepare photo pack presentations for witness statements.
  • Enter large quantities of entities data on the PRIME database.
  • Create and maintain schedules and training dates for all Investigative Service Units.
  • Purchase and maintain office supplies for all Investigative Services Units.
  • Reserve meeting rooms for internal/external attendees.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge and experience with Adobe Acrobat DC, MS Word, MS Excel, in addition to other standard office software programs.
  • Experience with operating PRIME and JUSTIN is an asset.
  • Experience with TEAM scheduler is an asset.
  • Experience in preparing and presenting training materials for all skill levels.
  • Ability to properly prioritize workloads in time-critical and deadline situations.
  • Ability to think critically and analyze.
  • Ability to interact with RCMP Officers and City employees in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ability to use REDMS or a similar records management system is preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an RCMP Enhanced Security Clearance.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent plus a minimum of one (1) year of additional courses in criminology OR an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • A minimum of two (2) years experience in a RCMP records department.
