Alberta Health Services is now seeking such a person with the right qualifications for the role of Electroneurophysiology Technologist II, or EEG Tech in the outstanding City of Calgary! As an Electroneurophysiology (EEG) Technologist within the Calgary Zone Adult Neurophysiology Program, you will be primarily stationed at one of Calgary\'s major hospitals. As needed, you will provide EEG support up to two other major medical centres. All facilities are exceptional full-service hospitals with a wide range of specialities. Come work for a supportive employer with competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for growth.Description:As an Electroneurophysiology (EEG) Technologist, you will perform appropriate tests on all age groups, utilizing a variety of electrode application methods and explain testing procedures to clients/patients and family. You will observe physical changes in the patient during testing, prepare results and/or interprets findings for/with physician. You will prepare, update and maintain patient records. You will ensure proper operation of equipment by performing maintenance, calibration, cleaning and detect any equipment malfunction, make minor repairs or report the need for major repairs to the appropriate person. You will inform the physician of urgent examination results and resolve unusual or complex cases or refers concerns to the appropriate individual(s).

Required Qualifications:Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic & Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). Additional Required Qualifications:Proven leadership, teamwork, and time management skills. Exceptional communication skills. Ability to handle the physical requirements of the job: prolonged sitting/standing, pushing/pulling of equipment, assisting with patient transfers, sustained awkward postures involved in day-to-day work activities. Preferred Qualifications:Minimum 3-5 years\' work experience in a Clinical Neurophysiology Lab. ACMDTT ictal SPECT injection enhanced practice authorization desired.
