Job Description

Actalent is seeking an Electro-mechanical Technologist for one of our biggest clients in the defense industry.Description:As an Electromechanical Technologist, you\xe2\x80\x99ll put together advanced communications assemblies, including equipment, systems, and components, that will serve onboard large ships for tactical communications. You\'ll follow industry regulations and ensure the end customer\xe2\x80\x99s requirements are met.Some of your key responsibilities:

• Prepare or review project deliverables such as plans, reports, and technical drawings within area(s) of technical knowledge and provide a quality service for internal and external customers.

• Support projects during design, assembly, hardware integration/testing, and acceptance phases.

• Be responsible for the integration of electronics, and hardware systems testing using layout diagrams, schematics, instructions and test procedures.

• Build wire harness assemblies by performing complex and intricate wiring of chassis, consoles and enclosures.

• Review hardware and engineering documentation and assist in developing policies and procedures for the test site to ensure safety, efficiency, and functionality.

• Diagnose problems with existing designs, propose and test design modifications.

• Work with manufacturing partners to introduce designs into production and solve related manufacturing issues.

• Complete various technical activities such as investigations, analysis, studies, etc. in a manner that is compliant with internal processes and procedures and external standards.

• Liaise with stakeholders (customer, project team, production) on technical matters.

• Fulfill project roles as assigned by the functional lead.

• Work to the project management schedule and budget and report to the Project Manager and Project Technical Lead for day-to-day project activities.

• 1-5 years experience with electronics assembly/integration
