DescriptionMaintenance Electrician

$35-$40/hour
Straight day shiftResponsibilities

• Perform preventative/predictive maintenance to all production equipment as required
• Repair and replace electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic and electronic components such as motors, contractors, relays, timers, types of switches, PLCs, light curtains, motor controls and valves
• Install, examine, replace and repair electronic wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components
• Maintain production equipment to maximize operating performance
• Perform installation, set up, modification and relocation of equipment
• Read/write electrical and electronic schematics/diagrams, basic hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams
• Able to read wiring diagrams, electrical/mechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic schematics and ladder/function block logic, you have working knowledge of industrial PCs and PLCs (Siemens Step 7, Beckhoff TwinCat, etc.) and electric circuitry consisting of contractors, relays, main voltage/control voltage, limit switches and proximity sensors

Qualifications

• Certified Ontario electrician (442 A/309A or inter-provincial license)
• Minimum 5 years\' experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment - troubleshooting, repairs, installations, preventative maintenance of electrical, mechanical, automated systems, robots, plc systems, servo drives, motion control, HMI interfaces, sensors, relays
• Solid computer skills: MS Office, CMMS is an asset
• Ability to work positively in a cross-functional team
• Adhere to health and safety protocols
