Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician or Master Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of electrical systems, including the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role involves overseeing electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs in both residential and commercial settings. The Electrician or Master Electrician will ensure compliance with all safety regulations while delivering high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in accordance with local codes and regulations. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently. Troubleshoot electrical issues and implement effective solutions promptly. Supervise and train junior electricians and apprentices on best practices in the field. Conduct inspections of electrical systems to ensure safety and functionality. Collaborate with other tradespeople during renovation or construction projects to ensure seamless integration of electrical work. Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and safety standards related to electrical work.

Requirements

Valid 309A Electrician or Master Electrician license or equivalent certification. Proven experience as a commercial electrician or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of low voltage systems and their applications. Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment related to electrical work. Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and technical documents. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients. A maintenance person mindset with the ability to renovate or build as needed is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour
