Summary
We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team at Prairie Meats. In this role, you will support the production and facility operations by maintaining equipment, identifying and resolving issues, and contributing to a safe, efficient, and high-performing work environment. No day will be the same and it is not a typical electrician position as you could also be assisting with tasks like changing gears to doing general maintenance work depending on the prioritization of maintenance tasks. This is basically a Monday to Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. position with minimal overtime and very minimal requirement to be on call.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair systems and controls on equipment
Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
Maintain and upgrade equipment to meet safety standards and production needs
Assist with mechanical maintenance and equipment installations
Work closely with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime
Adhere to company policies and safety protocols
Requirements
Red Seal Journeyman Electrician certification licensed in Saskatchewan (required)
Strong knowledge of schematics and control systems
Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Mechanically inclined
-Experience in an industrial or food processing environment considered an asset
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong commitment to workplace safety and food safety practices
