Job Description


We are hiring an Electrician in our St. Thomas, ON location!

An Electrician is responsible for supporting electrical maintenance of the facility and the production equipment. Completing tasks in a safe and efficient manner in order to support the reduction of downtime on equipment and minimize the disruption to production and the facility in general is a top priority.

This is a rotating shift:

Days - Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm

Afternoons - Monday to Thursday, 3:30pm to 1:30am

What you will do:

Troubleshoot and repair production equipment

Support production with day to day troubleshooting

Complete preventive maintenance as required

Rebuild and install equipment as required

Support in maintaining stock of electrical items

Fill in the appropriate information on the maintenance work orders when complete (ex. Hours, and notes / comments)

Support in keeping the maintenance department clean and safe

Ability to work in a collaborative team environment

Knowledge of PLC\xe2\x80\x99s

Willingness and ability to work a two-week shift rotation

Maintain current electrician\'s license or identification card to meet governmental regulations

Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes

What you will bring:

O.S.S.D or equivalent

Industrial Electrician License (Red Seal) \xe2\x80\x93 442A license or Construction and Maintenance 309A

Certificate of Apprenticeship

Successful completion of any pre-employment testing

Working knowledge of PLCs and troubleshooting PLCs

Knowledge of robotics

Knowledge of AutoCAD

Knowledge of CNC controllers would be an asset
