CERTIFIED ELECTRICIANS

Parallel provides product and service solutions to some of North America's largest resource-based sectors including Forestry, Mining, Aggregate, Steel Recycling, Biomass Energy and Hemp. We are a major construction contractor in Welding, Heavy Fabrication, Millwrighting, Electrical and General-Construction.

We are hiring Certified Electricians for Industrial Lumber Mill Projects in the United States. Experience in Industrial Lumber Mills, Aggregate Plants, Mines or similar, and with manufacturing equipment, power systems and electronic controls is essential. Familiarity with instrumentation and other trade processes is a major asset.

Candidates will be adept problem solvers and self motivated leaders with a professional mindset, pride in workmanship, and skilled determination to meet/ exceed scope demands.

Shifts are typically 3 and 3 and 12 hours daily.

Journeyman $45-$47/hr, experience depending. Plus OT. Plus LOA $150 USD each day worked (paid in Canadian equivalent).

REQUIREMENTS



Ticket Required. Submit with application. Proven experience as an Electrician in an industrial setting Minimum 3 years field experience in live sawmills/planer mills or similar Minimum 3 years experience with Industrial Manufacturing Equipment & Systems (i.e. Conveyors, Stackers, Trimline Systems, Infeed Systems, Planers) Schematic and Blue-print reading skills required and ability to work with or without drawings Comprehensive understanding of electrical codes, standards and regulations Familiarity with construction practices and safety protocols Excellent communication skills Dedicated to quality excellence with a superior work ethic Must be able to work unsupervised at times Must be drug free *
Willing to work days, nights, weekends Current Safety or Training Certificates an asset (i.e., Fall Arrest, Aerial Platform, Forklift Operator) Red Seal Ticket an asset

RESPONSIBILITIES



Increase the efficiency and manufacturing productivity of industrial lumber mills. Adhere to all Parallel and Client Safety standards and governing regulations. Assemble, inspect, test, remove, install, and maintain industrial electrical equipment, systems and components (i.e. Raceways, Cabling, Grounding, Entering Cables, Terminating Motors, MCCs, Control Devices, Hydraulics, VFDs) Perform de-commissioning, commissioning, completions and start-up. Perform Machine Centre Optimization. Implement preventative and scheduled maintenance programs for electrical equipment. Troubleshoot machinery and equipment and make accurate judgments to repair with minimal downtime. Maintain coordinated effort and clear communication with other trades, programmers and supervision to ensure efficient and safe operations. Read and interpret drawings and specifications. Build and maintain professional relationships with co-workers and Client.
