Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both industrial and commercial electrical work, with hands-on experience in construction environments. This role requires proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics, as well as the ability to work with various electrical tools and equipment. The Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems while ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).

Duties

Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with NEC standards. Troubleshoot electrical issues using tools such as ammeters and ohmmeters to ensure systems are functioning properly. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems. Work on both low voltage and high voltage systems as required by project specifications. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out installation and repair tasks. Collaborate with other construction professionals on-site to ensure project timelines are met. Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Requirements

Proven experience as an Electrician in industrial or commercial settings. Familiarity with construction site practices and safety protocols. Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Experience with low voltage and high voltage electrical systems. Strong knowledge of NEC regulations and standards. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, ammeters, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment effectively. Frame carpentry skills are a plus but not required. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team environment. Job Types: Permanent, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $28.95-$120.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
