Job Description

Job Summary:

The Electrician is responsible for equipment installation, routine repair, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of electrical circuits and control systems associated with the facility and the equipment within it.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for following and complying with all Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety & Quality System practices to ensure the control of all food safety hazards. Must comply with all Health and Safety policies and Procedures. Responsible for installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting and repair of industrial electrical equipment. Responsible for performing preventative maintenance tasks as required by the maintenance program. Responsible for assessing, repairing, and reporting all safety issues within the plant. Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working area. Oversee inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with Ontario Electrical Standards. Complete WO's and manage tasks within a Computerized Maintenance Management System. Coordinate with outside contractors for assistance and services. Willing to perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Skills and Qualifications:

Licensed Electrician (309A or 442A) Working knowledge of PLC's and complex control systems. Good command of the English language to communicate clearly with co-workers and supervisors. Read and comprehend complex electrical schematics Experience with motor controls, heating controls, transformers, safety circuits and automated systems. Understanding of Ontario Electrical Standards. Understanding of electrical distribution systems. Strong time management skills Must be able to conduct task-based risk assessments to identify safety hazards.

Pay: $38.00-$47.00 per hour
