Job Description

Key Responsibilities



Installation:



Install electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, lighting fixtures, and other components in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

Maintenance and Repair:



Inspect, maintain, and repair electrical equipment, including transformers, circuit breakers, and wiring, as well as address emergency calls.

System Planning:



Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine wiring layouts for new or existing installations.

Troubleshooting:



Diagnose and resolve issues in electrical and electronic systems by using testing equipment to identify and replace faulty components.

Code Compliance:



Adhere to all electrical codes and safety regulations.

Documentation:



Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and service calls.

Supervision:



Work independently or as part of a team and provide guidance and training to apprentice electricians.

Required Skills and Knowledge



Physical Stamina:



Capable of handling tools, working in varying temperatures, and performing physical tasks such as climbing, bending, and lifting.

Technical Skills:



Proficient in using hand and power tools, reading blueprints and technical drawings, and understanding various electrical systems, materials and fittings. Wiring, testing and ensuring safety compliance of various electrical systems and installations.

Problem-Solving:



Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues and find effective solutions.

Communication:



Effectively communicate with clients, management, and all team members.

Customer Service:



Provide high-quality service to clients and address their concerns to ensure satisfaction and efficient project completion.

Qualifications and Education Requirements



Y4 Apprentice Status - Journeyman Electrician Certificate

Trade or Construction Experience

Valid Saskatchewan Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications and Education



Valid First Aid/CPR, WHMIS, Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform

Can operate Loader, Forklift, and Bob Cat

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $34.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
