Reporting to the Mill Electrical Supervisor the Journeyperson Electrician is responsible for the following:

Key Responsibilities

Be a Courageous Safety Leader, through promotion and adherence to established Safety and Environmental policies and procedures Perform in a team-orientated environment with various trades Electrical maintenance, construction and troubleshooting Maintain a clean, orderly and safe work environment Construct, maintain, alter, repair, and test electric or electronic systems and components that are integral to the operation's mining activities Perform duties that range from routine preventative maintenance on mining equipment to repairing major breakdowns in a shop or a field environment Shift work may be required.

Qualifications

Journeyperson Interprovincial Electrician with Red Seal Endorsement PLC knowledge Strong interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficient in distributed control systems (DCS), programmable logic controls (PLC), variable frequency drive (VFD), motor control center (MCC), and microprocessors Understanding of the Electrical Code Familiarity with reading electrical schematics and prints Previous mining experience an asset Valid Driver's License
