Electrician




As part of the Maintenance Department at Braya Renewable Fuels, the Electrician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and components to ensure safe and reliable plant operations. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to workplace safety.

Responsibilities



Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with relevant codes and standards. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution. Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems to maximize reliability and minimize downtime. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Work collaboratively with other trades, engineers, and operations personnel. Adhere to all safety protocols, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent.

Qualifications



Certified Journeyperson (Red Seal Certificate) Minimum 5 years of relevant industrial or plant maintenance experience (oil & gas, refinery, or heavy industry experience preferred). Ability to manage a changing workload and set priorities to meet deadlines Thorough knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and troubleshooting techniques. Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings. Demonstrated commitment to safety and teamwork. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Valid Class 5 driver's license Valid Confined Space, Fall Arrest, Powerline Hazard and WHMIS certificates Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proven dedication to health, safety, and environment

Regularly lifts/moves object up to 25 lbs. Occasionally lifts/moves >50lbs. Push/Pulling forces up to 50lbs are required. Work repetitively involves reaching/stretching, bending, and twisting; regular standing, walking, and climbing. Use of gross and fine motor skills; constant use of hand tools that require accurate control and steadiness and maintaining physical balance (e.g., Ladders/scaffolding). Work environments can present exposure to loud noises or environmental hazards.
