We're looking for a qualified and motivated

Electrician

The Electrician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems in

commercial and industrial

environments. You'll ensure that all work is performed in accordance with current codes and standards, while providing superior quality service.

Key Responsibilities



Read and interpret

schematics, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to determine the location and operation of industrial and commercial electrical equipment.

Install, inspect, replace, and repair

electrical cables, outlets, switchboxes, conduits, feeders, fiber optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures, distribution systems, and other electrical components.

Conduct tests

on electrical and electronic equipment and components to verify continuity, current, voltage, and resistance, ensuring proper system operation.

Maintain, repair, install, and test

switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, reactors, and other power equipment.

Maintain, repair, install, and test

electric motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries, and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.

Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair

industrial electrical and electronic control systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and other related devices.

Execute

preventive and predictive maintenance programs and maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records.

Install, maintain, and calibrate

, if applicable, industrial instruments, sensors, and related control devices.

Ensure

compliance of installations with Quebec electrical codes (Quebec Construction Code, Chapter V - Electricity) and current safety standards.

Collaborate

effectively with project teams, other trades, and clients to ensure successful completion of work.

Skills and Qualifications



Valid Electrician's Qualification Certificate

. DEP in electricity or any equivalent relevant training. Relevant experience as an electrician in the

commercial or industrial

sector. Excellent knowledge of current electrical codes and standards in Quebec. Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and schematics. Proficiency with tools and equipment specific to the electrician trade. Autonomy, rigor, and attention to detail. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.

Valid driver's license (an asset)
