We're looking for a skilled
Electrician
to work as part of our team to install, test, troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices and related equipment in a manufacturing environment. This individual will have the ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications to provide troubleshooting and repair services. The Industrial Electrician will also routinely perform preventative maintenance on all equipment and components to ensure the continued safe, efficient and effective operations of all equipment and fixtures utilized by the organization.

Essential Job Functions
Install, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices, and equipment
Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) specifications
Diagnose electrical faults and determine root causes using appropriate testing and diagnostic equipment
Perform preventative maintenance through routine inspection of electrical systems, equipment, and components
Test electrical systems and verify continuity of circuits in wiring, equipment, and fixtures
Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance, inspection, and repair records
Support plant electrical upgrades, shutdowns, and continuous improvement initiatives
Provide guidance, training, and technical support to apprentices and junior electricians as required
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with organizational policies, provincial regulations, and federal safety standards
Follow all lockout/tagout, energized work, and site-specific safety procedures
Perform other electrical or maintenance-related duties as required to support operations
Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years' experience as an Industrial Electrician; manufacturing or industrial facility experience preferred
Journeyperson Electrician Certificate required
Red Seal Endorsement strongly preferred
Demonstrated experience with preventative and corrective maintenance programs
Strong electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced industrial environment
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a diverse workforce
Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical documentation
Knowledge of safe operating procedures and applicable electrical codes and standards
Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to perform under pressure
Basic computer skills for maintenance systems, documentation, and reporting
Physical Demands
Raise/lower or move objects horizontally.
Frequent wrist/hand motions.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs (23 kg)
Ability to respond quickly to sounds.
Must be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
Visual acuity required for accuracy and thoroughness of work.
Standing/walking for more than 90% of shift, including long distances.
Ability to work in extreme weather.
Work Environment:
Manufacturing and industrial setting
Exposure to hazards associated with electrical and industrial trade work
Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel-toed boots, safety glasses/goggles, and other safety gear
Overtime may be required
24/7 availability may be required based on operational needs
Active industrial shop with exposure to dust, noise, varying temperatures, and heavy machinery.
Frequent use of PPE including gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, and dust masks as required.
Education & Certifications:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
Journeyperson Electrician Certification (provincial) required
Red Seal Endorsement preferred
