JOURNEYPERSON ELECTRICIAN

Willow Point Electric Ltd. | Campbell River, BC

We're a locally owned electrical contracting company serving Campbell River and surrounding areas. We're looking for a journeyperson electrician to join our small team doing residential and commercial work.

The work includes service calls, installations, and troubleshooting. If you're comfortable working directly with customers and enjoy variety in your day-to-day work, this could be a good fit.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Respond to service calls - diagnose problems, communicate with customers about solutions and costs, complete repairs

Residential and commercial installations - new construction, renovations, panel upgrades, EV chargers, minor repairs, and more

Work independently or with apprentices depending on the job

Maintain quality workmanship and code compliance

Complete paperwork and communicate with the office

REQUIREMENTS

Red Seal Electrician Certification

Valid Class 5 BC driver's license

Technically competent and capable of solving problems

Comfortable communicating with customers and explaining technical issues in plain English

Physically capable of the job - working on ladders, in attics/crawl spaces, lifting ~50 lbs

Own basic hand tools, multimeter, and cell phone

Basic computer skills for email and job management software

Pass a background check

ASSETS (NOT REQUIRED)

BC Master Electrician / FSR Certification

Previous customer service or sales experience

Estimating experience

Safety certifications

First aid training

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Starting wages are $38-$44/hour depending on proven skills & abilities

Performance-based bonuses

We're a small, locally owned company that's been operating since 2022. You'll be working directly with the owner and a small team, which means less bureaucracy but also means everyone needs to pull their weight.

Service work is a significant part of what we do, so customer interaction and communication skills matter as much as technical ability. You'll need to explain issues to customers, present options, and occasionally identify additional work that needs doing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38.00-$44.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week
