Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated 309A Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both residential and industrial settings, a strong understanding of electrical systems, and the ability to work with low and high-voltage applications. This role involves a diverse selection of projects, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems. The Electrician will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical work is completed safely and in accordance with local codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial environments. Installing duct banks, hydro poles, conduit, and wire, testing, and terminating conductors Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete installations and repairs. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and building codes during all work performed. Collaborate with other tradespeople and clients on job sites to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction. Ordering required parts, job materials, and using our computer system to track projects and services Maintaining a clean work area at all times while demonstrating your commitment to safety in the workplace Proactively preparing for upcoming work Interacting with various individuals at different levels within the company

Skills

Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics related to electrical installations. Strong knowledge of electrical systems. Experience using mini excavators and skidsteers is preferred but not required. Ability to use hand tools effectively for various tasks related to electrical work. Ability to adapt and work in indoor and outdoor settings in all weather. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members. Experience with installing and testing of high-voltage systems, transformers and pole lines is preferred but not required.

Requirements

A valid 309A Electrical License Relevant electrical experience, preferably in an industrial and/or commercial setting Candidates with a DZ or AR License are preferred, and all candidates must have a clean driving record Excellent communications skills Superior problem-solving skills High regard for health and safety A desire for continuous improvement Basic computer skills
