Electrician

for its

Blumenort, MB

location.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance Maintain, repair, install and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, and regulators Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries, hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems and dryer controls; Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical, and electronic control systems and other related devices Interpret electrical code specifications Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations. Working on an on-call rotation which includes evenings and weekends
Skills Required:

Ability to work on an on-call rotation Experience with barn controls, Maximum, Norsol, Phason and electric motor and generator repair is an asset; 2 years' experience as an Industrial Electrician; Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to liaise with employees, contractors and sub-contractors; Knowledge of electrical codes and required permits and licenses; Exceptional critical-thinking and problem-solving skills; Effective time management and ability to handle stress; Excellent communication skills with a strong sense of customer service; friendly and willing to serve/help; Excellent attention to detail.
