Position Goals:

To provide electrical/electronics expertise to support the installation and servicing of fueling systems, associated monitoring systems and a variety of control systems related to flammable liquids. Experience with EV infrastructure is a bonus.

Compensation:
$30-$35 per hour - Benefits Plan, Matching RRSP Plan, 4 day work week (42 hrs)
Key Responsibilities / Duties:

? Assist in the design of electrical/electronic systems
? Select, in consultation with other staff, electrical/electronic components and suppliers
? Install and commission high and low voltage wiring systems. It is anticipated that the incumbent will specialize in systems for hazardous locations. These systems may include:
? Fuel system power wiring
? Building wiring
? Wiring of signage and signals
? Fuel system monitoring electronics
? Fuel control systems
? Gas detection systems
? EV infrastructure items
? Service and calibrate all the components noted above.
? Keep abreast of new information on fuels and flammable liquids systems
? Carry out rebuild work as used equipment for resale
? Carry out mechanical repairs
? Assist Petroleum Mechanics with their duties as required
? Participate in emergency response teams as required (3-4 times on call per year)

Key Skills and Qualifications:

? Licensed Journeyman Electrician in the Province of Ontario (Or 4th year apprenticeship will be considered)
? Will be required to gain Petroleum Mechanic Certification.
? Computer literate. Able to use a computer in daily tasks including PLC programming
? Good organizational skills. The incumbent will be required to participate in several projects at the same time and pre plan their work.
? Background in electronics and controls
? Knowledge of the applicable electrical codes
? Good communication skills, written and verbal. The incumbent is required to meet and communicate with clients and fellow team members
? Ability to work in a variety of situations including independently, as a team member or as a team lead with minimal supervision.
? Dependability
? Willingness to take on a wide variety of tasks when electrical work is not readily available.
? Willingness to work out of town when required.
? Explosion Proof experience is an asset.
? Ability to read and interpret drawing, schematics and blueprints.
? Minimum full G license.
