Job Description

Apprentice Responsibilities:


- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems
- Learn to interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to understand the layout of electrical wiring
- Assist in the installation of low voltage systems, such as security alarms and fire alarms
- Assist in troubleshooting electrical issues and making necessary repairs
- Learn to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while working on job sites
- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications:


- High school diploma or equivalent, and established in the apprenticeship program
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and components
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematics
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Skills:


- Knowledge of electrical systems, including commercial electrician experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for commercial electrical installations

Please note that this is a mid-level apprentice position, which means although you will be learning on the job under the guidance of experienced electricians, will still be asked to display leadership within the crew and help guide the junior apprentices. We are looking for individuals who are eager to learn, have a strong work ethic, and are committed to becoming skilled journeyman electricians.

Journeyman Responsibilities:



We are looking for a high character individual to be the face of the company on our most important jobsites, mentor the apprentices and drive the success of the project.

- Delegate work to crew, ensure productivity, train for quality and efficiency, check for acceptability
- Organize, perform and supervise the installation and repair of wiring, conduits, fixtures, and other electrical devices
- Collaborate and show leadership with other tradespeople to complete projects on time and within budget
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine the layout of electrical systems
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with local and national electrical codes
- Test electrical systems and components to ensure proper functioning and safety, perform troubleshooting to identify and resolve electrical issues

Qualifications and Skills


- Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician license or equivalent certification.
-Foreman and leadership experience is a a real benefit, all applicants will be considered but all of our Journeymen operate in a site supervisory role and preference given to those with experience as a foreman in a commercial setting, or ambition to learn that role
- Experience in training apprentices, planning and organization, both executing and delegating work and ensuring efficient and high quality production
- Collaborating with subtrades and customers
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and ability to interpret schematics and shop drawings
- Experience in both renovating and new building electrical systems and construction methods
- Ability to think independently and work as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.25-$40.50 per hour
